Megawati's Directive To PDIP Cadres Ahead Of The Pilkada: If Die Hard Commitment, Die Hard Must Be Right

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded her cadres who will run in the 2024 Pilkada to be honest, disciplined, and go to the community to find solutions to problems.

This was conveyed during a party coordination meeting with regional heads from PDIP at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Friday, April 26. Megawati chaired a meeting with PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

There were a number of PDIP DPP administrators such as Deputy Treasurer Rudianto Tjen and DPP Chairs such as Komaruddin Watubun, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Bambang Wuryanto, Ahmad Basarah, Wuryanti Sukamdani, Rokhmin Dauri, and Ribka Tjiptaning.

"The first is discipline," said Megawati in front of 200 regional heads from the party bearing the bull symbol.

Megawati said that discipline is one of the qualities that must be strengthened by her cadres. They must show this attitude even more in the midst of various intimidation.

This discipline is also broad, such as being disciplined in an organization so that it always acts in a legal context. Do not let the cadres be exploited because of these two problems.

"Second, don't lie. For me, if we commit to die hard, we have to die hard right. If you lie, it's better not to," he said.

"Instead of later becoming (officials, ed) but lying is better if one area is empty (of cadres who sit as regional heads, ed)," continued the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Next, he asked his cadres to commit to going down to the community. They must find solutions to existing problems.

Cadres must listen to what the community is experiencing. "And help the people to find a solution," he said.

"So my message continues and always goes down to the people. We must help and protect the people," concluded Megawati.
