BMW Presents The Latest Progress Towards Electrification At The Beijing Auto Show 2024

JAKARTA - The German luxury car brand BMW Group participated in the Beijing Auto Show 2024 exhibition, presenting the latest technological advances in changes towards electrification and digitization.

At the annual exhibition, BMW brought Vision Neue Classe, which is the forerunner of the next generation of BMW vehicles and is the first time it has been exhibited in China.

"With Neue Classe we present future BMW vehicles that are thick with design, technology and philosophy. Starting next year when we will be releasing officially, and not a special model but starting from the most successful and high-volume segment," said BMW AG Management Board Chair Oliver Zipse, in his official statement quoted on Friday, April 26.

As is well known, the BMW Vision Neue Classe marks the start of a new era of individual mobility and provides a glimpse into the future generations of BMW brand models. Rich in digital experiences, local emission-free, and circulars in the long term to ensure BMW's signature driving pleasure for future generations.

Production of the Neue Classe series model will begin in 2025, initially at the BMW Group plant in Debrecen and will soon be produced in China.

In the exhibition BMW also celebrated its premiere for the latest BMW i4, the model will be displayed to the public for the first time along with the BMW Series 4 combustion engine variant Gran Coupé which has also been further developed. In addition, the all-electric Mini Aceman crossover was also presented.

"With a length of more than four meters, Aceman realized the basic concept of the original and iconic MINI idea in 1959. Which has a progressive design, optimal use of space, and minimal tread," said BMW AG Management Board Member, who is responsible for Customers, Brands, and Jochen Goller Sales.
