Sandiaga Uno Akui Suggests PPP Support Prabowo-Gibran Government

JAKARTA - The pressure for the United Development Party (PPP) to support the Prabowo-Gibran government continues to arrive. After the party court, this time the pressure came from the Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) PPP Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

Sandi has even provided input to the PPP leadership to support Prabowo-Gibran.

"Being part of the element to build the country and of course Pak Prabowo again invites all parties to help build the nation," he said, Thursday, April 25.

Sandi admitted that it would be very honorable for PPP to be invited to join the big coalition Prabowo-Gibran to build Indonesia in the future. "Our hope is to go to Indonesia with gold in 2045," said the minister of tourism and the creative economy.

Not to forget Sandi congratulated Prabowo-Gibran who was given a mandate by the people to dream of Indonesia.

"As a personal person and Pak Prabowo's partner in 2019 and was once his spokesman in 2014, of course, he felt that his struggle finally got a mandate from the Indonesian people. This is an achievement that has become the fruit of his hard work," he explained.

He added that in developing the country after the democratic party needed was collaboration and unity from all elements of the country.

When asked by the media crew whether he had been invited to join the coalition, he admitted that this was the prerogative of the elected presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

"In a position to invite it, of course, the prerogative of the president, from Pak Prabowo as the elected president and the leader of the coalition that will govern," he said.

Previously, PPP Chief Justice Ade Irfan Pulungan asked his party to be realistic in seeing the political reality. He also asked PPP to immediately express support for the elected president and vice president, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

According to Irfan, the stages of the 2024 presidential election have been completed after the KPU decided to win the 2024 presidential election on Wednesday (24/4/2024) yesterday.

"PPP must be realistic in providing support based on the development of political dynamics, and must improve itself for internal improvement of the party which is currently declared not to have passed PT 4 percent in the 2024 General Election. Moreover, currently there is no more coalition of political parties supporting candidate pair 01 and 03. All parties are asked to unite to build the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he explained.
