Lauv Marks New Music Era With New Single Concept, 'Potential'

JAKARTA - Lauv is preparing to enter a new phase in music. After some time joining the Weverse platform, he is now present with a new single.

The multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist finally released a new work in 2024, a single entitled 'Potential'. With honest and open lyrics, this single is called the marker of Lauv's latest era.

The dominant 'Potential' with acoustic guitar elements and medium-tempo electronic pop beat. The lyrics describe the uncertainty that comes between the two people who are in close contact.

The Potential was also released with a video clip directed by Luke Orlando who has collaborated with Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek. The result was a visual presentation that was stunning and starred in a complete choreography dance for the first time in a video clip.

Lauv's latest single is his first work released through his new partnership with AWAL, a global music company founded to help independent musicians. As one of the first musicians to prove the original business model, Lauv first took the world's attention through his debut single at the start of 2017, I Like Me Better, which received 6 platinum certifications in the United States and was a success worldwide.
