Citroen Is Not Interested In Entering The Hybrid Market, Still Focused On ICE And BEV
JAKARTA - French brand Citroen already has various car models in Indonesia, both conventional and pure electric vehicles, namely eC3.
If you look at the official Citroen Indonesia website, there are a total of five models consisting of Citroen C3, C5 Aircroos, E-C4, E-C3 and most recently The All New Citroen C3 Aircroos SUV.
As is known, the hybrid car market in Indonesia is currently excited, as can be seen from the various sales figures of well-known brands. However, Citroen has no plans to enter the segment (hybrid).
This was revealed by the Chief Executive Officer of Citroen Indonesia, Tan Kim Piauw. He said that actually in Stellantis, especially since Citroen has a hybrid model.
"Actually, at Stellantis, what else does Citroen have an electric Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) product, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and also a hybrid. Last year we had a test in France, and we also had a chance to feel a hybrid (car)," he said, some time ago.

Furthermore, Tan said that for now Citroen in Indonesia will focus on Internal Combustion Engine and Battery Electric Vehicle, not yet in the hybrid segment.
"Produally, Citroen owns (hybrids). But, for the Indonesian market, we are still talking about ICE and BEV today. So it has developed to hybrid so far," he added.
Quoting from the official Citroen website, one of the hybrid C5 Aircroos models is equipped with a new Hybrid 48V technology. This innovative and latest hybrid technology combines a new generation of PureTech gasoline engine with 136 hp, a new electric doubles coupling gearbox, way-DCS6, with a 21 kW electric motor, and a 48V battery that recharges automatically over several driving phases.
