IKN And Smart Transportation 2045, From Autonomous Vehicles To Drones
JAKARTA - IKN will present a smart mode of transportation in 2045, including air mobility, autonomous vehicles, drones, and robotics. This was said by the Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono.
Bambang said IKN is designed to provide urban environments with a sustainable, efficient and inclusive approach.
According to him, this approach is important in encouraging the use of public transportation and active mobility such as walking and cycling.
By managing the transportation sector, his party is not only trying to reduce traffic congestion, but also create more space for public and active transportation, as well as busy urban activities.
"How will the transportation system in the archipelago look the next 30 years, in 2045? The city's smart transportation infrastructure will include features such as continued air mobility, autonomous vehicles, drones, and robotics to improve the logistics system," Bambang said in an online seminar., reported from ANTARA, Wednesday, April 24.
"The strategy of the archipelago includes restrictions on parking and road capacity as well as park and ride facilities to keep traffic under control. This progressive approach ensures a sustainable, efficient, and inclusive urban environment," he added.
Furthermore, Bambang said that in an effort to become a world-class city that is inclusive for everyone, IKN sets four main performance indicators (KPI) related to the transportation sector. To achieve this KPI, IKN's smart approach and mobility focuses on three main benefits.
First, step up decision making with real-time data analysis, which can prevent general errors in public transportation planning in several other cities.
Second, optimizing the performance of public transportation by providing information to passengers and operators, such as about the timely schedule and condition of the corridor, thereby improving user experience and operational efficiency.
Finally, utilizing smart mobility aimed at minimizing human error that can lead to security risks.
"This commitment to smart mobility confirms our determination for the transformation of sustainable urban mobility in the archipelago," he said.

Bambang also invited all parties, including Indonesia's Intelligent Transport System (ITS) to become part of history in realizing IKN as the capital city of a country that has smart and sustainable urban transportation mobility.
Meanwhile, ITS Indonesia President William Sabandar said his party has the aim of creating a framework that supports economic growth, protects the environment, and promotes social inclusiveness.
ITS Indonesia, he said, is ready to explore innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology that will shape the future of the Capital City of the Archipelago.
"This collaboration between ITS Indonesia and the New Capital Authority is proof of our commitment to our excellence and dedication to making the new capital a beacon of modernity and sustainability," said William.
