Attending Prabowo-Gibran's Determination As Elected President-Vice President, Anies: Respect The State Process

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar attended the appointment of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president elected for the 2024 General Election.

As a former presidential and vice presidential candidate who competed in the 2024 presidential election contestation, Anies admitted that his presence with Cak Imin was a form of respect for the state process.

"This is a state process and we respect this state process to completion. That's why we are here to respect the process," said Anies at the KPU RI building, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 24.

However, Anies emphasized that the 2024 General Election still needs to be evaluated for all its problems.

"We are doing all of this without forgetting and wanting to remind everyone that at yesterday's Constitutional Court there were a lot of notes that had to be corrected," said Anies.

The KPU today appointed Prabowo-Gibran as president and vice president elected for the 2024 General Election. This is stated in the KPU's decision read by the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari.

Prabowo and Gibran first came to the Indonesian KPU office at 09.49 WIB. Before the two arrived, a number of general chairmen of the Indonesian Forward Coalition political parties picked up Prabowo-Gibran's arrival.

Some of them are PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto, Democratic Party Chairman Agus Hari Murtiyudhoyono, PAN Party Chair Zulkifli Hasan.

Also present were President Joko Widodo's ministers such as Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi and Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia.

The National Campaign Team (TKN) and the Prabowo-Gibran legal team at the Constitutional Court were also present at the KPU building.
