Joining Votes In The 2024 Election, 10 PPK In Bogor Declared Violation Of Ethics

BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), stated that as many as 10 District Election Committees (PPK) violated ethics in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"We urge the KPU (General Election Commission) to consider PPK which violated ethics during the implementation of yesterday's election," said Bogor Regency Bawaslu Prevention Division Coordinator Burhanudin Tuesday, April 23.

He also asked the Bogor Regency KPU to be careful in the next PPK recruitment process for the needs of holding the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

According to him, the principle of prudence in the recruitment process needs to be done. Do not let the PPK assigned to the Pilkada later be the same person.

"The selection of PPK must be based on integrity, ability, and meeting other requirements in accordance with existing laws and regulations," said Burhan.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Bogor Regency Bawaslu Violations and Information Division, Juhdi, explained that the 10 PPKs that were declared to have violated ethics came from Gunungputri, Citeureup, Jasinga, Ciseeng, Klapanunggal and Tenjo.

According to him, all the registered PPKs were proven to have committed ethical violations during the February General Election.

Juhdi added that the dominant ethical violations were cases of inflating and changing votes in legislative candidates.

"Most of these cases involve inflating votes by PPK which violate ethics," said Juhdi.
