NasDem-PKB Will Establish Coalition In The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) project to re-establish a coalition in the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada. This was revealed after the Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) met with the Head of NasDem Surya Paloh."It is possible that the regional elections will become one of the cooperation rooms for the new PKB and NasDem sheets. The regional elections are one of our agendas," said Cak Imin at NasDem Tower, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 23.However, Cak Imin admitted that there had been no careful discussion regarding the coalition's sustainability plan after carrying Anies-Muhaimin in the 2024 presidential election. The two parties have also not mapped which areas they will project in the nomination of their regional head candidates."Whatever the future of our nation, this requires serious cooperation from the strength of political parties both in the legislature, within the scope of public political education, as well as in the spaces of national political agendas. It could include regional elections. We don't know which regional elections are, we haven't discussed it yet," explained Cak Imin.In this meeting, NasDem and PKB agreed to accept the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) against the 2024 presidential election dispute. However, Cak Imin admitted that there was no discussion regarding the attitude of each party, whether to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government or remain on the opposition line.According to him, the party that carries Anies-Muhaimin in the 2024 presidential election still needs time to think about its political stance."In or outside, there is no conclusion yet. Until this point, I don't even know, Mr. Surya wants to be inside or outside? Want to ask whether it's reluctant. You even ask. I just want to ask not good," said Cak Imin.Although he has not yet determined his position, Surya Paloh stated that he will support the government that will be led by Prabowo-Gibran as the winner of the 2024 presidential election. This, said Surya, was also agreed upon by PKB.
"What is certain is that consensus and the government's agreement require helping, requiring support, because the situation and threats faced us as a nation today," Surya added.
