Police Investigate The Cause Of Mandisa's Sudden Death

The death of American Idol singer Mandisa who suddenly raised questions. He was found dead at his residence in Franklin, Tennessee on Thursday, April 18 last week.

Franklin Police Department stated that they are still investigating the cause of death of the Grammy winner.

"The Franklin Police Department continues to investigate the death of a woman found in a residence in Beamon Dr. Last Thursday night," read a statement from the Franklin Police Department, citing People, Tuesday, April 23.

Over the weekend, the medical examiner identified the person who died as Mandisa Hundley, 47 years old. Currently, there are no indications that the death was caused by suspicious or criminal activity," he continued.

"The Franklin Police Department expresses its condolences to Hundley's family, friends, and fans".

Previously, the Mandisa representative who confirmed the news of the singer's death stated that the cause of death was not yet known.

"Currently, we don't know the cause of death or further details," said the Mandisa representative.

"We ask for your prayers for his family and close friends during this very difficult time".

For information, Mandisa took part in the American Idol event in 2006. But his journey stopped in ninth position.

Mandisa brought home the Grammys in the Best Contemporary Christian Music category for the recording, Overcomer in 2014.

The singer achieved great success while forging a career in Christian music. Some of the recordings included What If We Were Real (2011), Freedom (2009), and True Beauty (2007) also received Grammy nominations.
