Bin Ops (KBO) Traffic Unit of the Anambas Islands Police, Iptu Feby Tri Gunawan said, the operation was carried out on Saturday, April 20. "We carried out a ticket in the form of a warning to two violators, in order to give them legal awareness," he said. he hoped, with this operation, the public was more aware of the importance of maintaining order and obeying the law. "For this reason, we urge all people to prohibit minors from riding electric bicycles on the highway in order to maintain mutual safety," he added.

In previous reports, the Anambas Islands Resort Police (Polres), Riau Islands appealed to residents in the local area not to give permission to their children to ride electric bicycles on the highway. Anambas Islands Police Chief, AKBP Apri Fajar Hermanto through an official statement received in Natuna, Wednesday said riding an electric bicycle on the highway could endanger the safety of the soul, be it yourself or others. The appeal, he said, must be heeded because there has been an accident in the area due to electric bicycles being driven on the highway. "Following up on reports from the community, the Anambas Police issued a firm appeal to parents and the school so as not to arbitrarily allow their students to ride electric bicycles on public roads or to school," he said.
