Indonesia's First Wave Of Hajj Candidates Fly To The Holy Land Starting May 12, 2024
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) again reminded that the first batch of Indonesian pilgrims will be flown to the Holy Land starting May 12, 2024.
The Director General of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief, on January 3, 2024, has issued a Hajj Travel Plan (RPH) of 1445 H. Congregants of Indonesian Hajj candidates will depart in two waves.
"The first batch of pilgrims departed from the country to Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport (AMAA) in Medina from 12-23 May 2024," Hilman said in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.
Meanwhile, the second batch of pilgrims will depart from the country to King Abdul Azis International Airport (KAAIA) in Jeddah from May 21 to June 1, 2024.
Indonesia this year received 221,000 hajj quotas. In addition, Indonesia also received an additional 20,000 quotas. Thus, the total Indonesian hajj quota this year is 241,000 people.
This amount consists of 213,320 quotas for regular Hajj pilgrims and 27,680 quotas for special Hajj pilgrims.
The details of the 1445 H/2024 M pilgrimage plan, namely that the congregation is scheduled to enter the Hajj dormitory on May 11, 2024.

The first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to depart from Indonesia to the city of Medina from 12 to 23 May 2024.
Furthermore, the first batch of pilgrims will depart from Medina City to Makkah City from May 21 to June 1, 2024.
From May 24 to June 10, 2024, the second wave of pilgrims departed from Indonesia to Jeddah City. Departure of Indonesian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to end on June 10, 2024 or closing date.
On June 14, 2024, pilgrims are scheduled to leave for Arafah from Makkah City and carry out wukuf in Arafah on 9 Zulhijah 1445 Hijri or 15 June 2024.
After the entire series of Hajj services is complete, Indonesian pilgrims who come in the first wave will be sent back to the country from Jeddah City from June 22 to July 3, 2024.
The first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to begin arriving in Indonesia on June 22, 2024.
The second batch of pilgrims are planned to depart from Makkah City to Medina from June 26 to July 13, 2024 and be repatriated to the country from Medina from July 4 to 21, 2024.
The repatriation of the second batch of pilgrims to Indonesia is scheduled to be completed on July 22, 2024.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Religion has also prepared 14 embarkations that will be used for the implementation of the 2024 Hajj.
The details are Banda Aceh (BTJ) 13 flying groups or Clusters, Kualanamu (KNO) 23 Groups, Padang (PDG) 18 Groups, Batam (BTH) 33 Groups, Palembang (PLM) 25 Groups, Jakarta Pondok Gede (JKG) 68 Groups, Jakarta Bekasi (JKS) 75 Groups.
Then Solo (SOC) 105 Groups, Surabaya (SUB) 115 Groups, Banjarmasin (BDJ) 17 Groups, Balikpapan (BPN) 18 Groups, Ujungpanjang (UPG) 45 Groups, Lombok (LOP) 13 Groups, and Kertajati (KJT) 30 Groups.
