Headquarters Ensures Fortuner Arogan Riders With TNI Plates Are Civilians
JAKARTA - The driver of a Fortuner car that went viral on social media for being arrogant and using the TNI Headquarters service plate number on the toll road was finally arrested. Currently, the man is being detained at Polda Metro Jaya.
"It's true (already arrested)," said Head of the Information Center of TNI Headquarters Major General TNI Nugraha Gumilar to VOI, Wednesday, April 17.
However, it was not conveyed about the timing of the arrest. It is only said that the Fortuner driver is known to have the initials Ir. PWGA was secured at his residence in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta.
From the results of the interim investigation, PWGA was confirmed not to be a TNI soldier. He is a civilian who falsified the TNI Headquarters number plate number 84337-00.
"It is certain that the person concerned is a civilian who works as a businessman," said Gumilar.
Separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi also confirmed the PWGA that had been arrested. The deepening process is said to be underway.
"It's true that it has been secured. An in-depth investigation is being carried out," said Ade.
The arrest of PWGA was based on a report registered with the number LP/B/2005/IV/2024/SPKT/POLDAMETROJAYA. The report was made by the Deputy Marshal (Ret.) of the TNI Asep Adang Supriyadi who is the official user of the TNI number plate.
Meanwhile, the PWGA went viral after a video of his arrogant action was shared by the @jakartaselatan24jam account which was uploaded on Friday (12/4).
