Man In Bandung Buried Under House Ceramics, Perpetrator Hurts Rp300 Thousand Work Money Unpaid
The police are investigating the murder case of a man buried under a ceramic layer in his house at the Bumi Citra Indah Housing complex, West Bandung Regency, West Java.
The Director of General Crimes (Dirkrimum) of the West Java Police, Kombes Surawan, said that the victim Didi Hartanto (42) was tortured to death by a man with the initials I (31) on March 23, 2024.
"We are still investigating the suspect. That's why we are still investigating the motive later," said Surawan as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 16.
Surawan said the initial motive for the report received was that the perpetrator felt hurt because the Rp300 thousand work money had not been paid for by the victim.
However, after his party checked, it was found that various property belonging to the missing victim was allegedly taken by the perpetrator.
"Because the suspect, after committing the murder, also took the victim's belongings, including a motorbike, then a house certificate, then there was also a cell phone," he said.
The Cimahi Police managed to apprehend the perpetrators in the Cianjur area on Monday (15/4). Currently, his party is investigating whether there are motives for other perpetrators to kill the victim.

Surawan said the police had evacuated the victim's body in the kitchen of the victim's house. Then the corgane was taken to Sartika Asih Hospital, Bandung for an autopsy.
"From the information of the suspect, he committed the murder using blunt iron. So while we are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem and autopsy from the hospital to determine the cause of death of the victim," he said.
Previously, police officers found and dug the location where a man's body was found in a rotting condition after being buried under a ceramic layer in his house.
The body of the man identified as Didi Hartanto (42) is an honorary employee at one ministry, whose family has reportedly disappeared since March 30, 2024.
