Witness Ganjar-Mahfud Calls Rice Distribution Prabowo-Gibran Logo, Yusril: Proves Nothing

JAKARTA - The head of the Prabowo-Gibran Defenders Team, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, assessed the testimony of witnesses from Ganjar-Mafud who stated that there was rice bearing the logo of presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 in Medan, proving nothing at the trial of the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) dispute.

According to him, to prove the fraud, at least the applicant brought witnesses from 20 provinces who explained the same thing.

"He has to prove the fraud occurred out of 38 (provinces) which means it must exist in at least 20 provinces. If it turns out that only one sack of rice brought from Medan was brought here, it cannot prove anything at trial," Yusril told reporters at the Constitutional Court, Tuesday, April 16.

This number must be fulfilled because it represents half of Indonesia's territory. Moreover, in the petitioner's argument, it is stated that there is a structured, systematic, and massive fraud in the 2024 presidential election.

In addition, Yusril also assessed that the testimony that stated that there was rice distribution in one of the villages in Banten to win one candidate pair also did not prove fraud in the 2024 presidential election.

"Even so with the witnesses who explained that there was a name for distributing rice in a village in Banten, it could not explain anything," he said.

Even with the discourse of the Ganjar-Mahfud camp which will present a regional police chief. It is said, if the rebuttal is realized, it has been prepared to deny all the sacredness of the Polri members.

"If the regional police chief comes, I'm sure I will work on him and I will embarrass him in court. You are the regional police chief, what do you want to say. Indonesia is 38 provinces. You are the regional police chief in one province, can you explain 37 other provinces," said Yusril.
