Via VinFast Expansion To Various Countries, Gross Imports To Build Factory For Local Production

JAKARTA - A brand from Vietnam, VinFast continues to spread its wings with expansion to various countries to enliven the global electric car market.

The Vietnamese brand established India as its next destination, and has even laid its first stone in the state of Tamil Nadu, India and is scheduled to start launching a local-made (India) model in 2025 onwards.

Most recently, citing from the Indian Autocar page, the brand will most likely enter the Indian market with two fully imported models from Vietnam, both VinFast VF5 and VF e34.

According to one of the sources, VinFast will follow a new policy regarding electric vehicles in accordance with regulations from the Government of India, and take advantage of various advantages of the regulation which was deliberately presented.

Although imported, it is likely that the price will be very aggressive and typing in attendance will be a strong challenger for Tata Motors to MG Motor which does have a model in the same segment.

Entering the Indonesian market

The Vietnamese brand has also officially entered the Indonesian market, to be precise at the IIMS 2024 event which took place last February which brought a total of five models, consisting of VF e34, VF 5, VF 6, VF 8 and VF 9.

In addition, VinFast also disbursed funds of up to Rp. 18 billion in Indonesia, including building a new manufacturing factory, located in Batang, Central Java. In fact, recently officially opened its first dealer network located in Depok, West Java.
