JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued a national weather forecast for Tuesday 16 April. Forecast Nurul Izzah Fitria said that the majority of major cities in the country are predicted to rain.
Of the 34 major cities in Indonesia, 27 cities have the potential to rain, with light, moderate intensity, heavy rain, and rain accompanied by lightning.
On the island of Sumatra, all major cities have the potential for rain, light rain in the cities of Banda Aceh and Bandar Lampung, moderate rain in the city.

On the island of Kalimantan, cloudy weather in Tanjung Selor City, light rain in Samarinda City, and Banjarmasin, moderate rain in Palangkaraya City, and rain accompanied by lightning in Pontianak City.
On the island of Sulawesi, cloudy weather in the cities of Manado and Gorontalo, as well as light rain in the cities of Palu, Kendari, and Makassar. "Be aware of the potential for heavy rain in Mamuju City," said Nurul Izzah.
