KSAL: Disputes Between TNI Members And Brimob Personnel Ended Peacefully

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali stated that the dispute between members of the Indonesian Navy and members of the West Papua Police Mobile Brigade at the port of Sorong, Southwest Papua, had ended peacefully.

"As a Jalasena Soldier, you must always show your spirit of knights and always uphold synergy to all agencies and elements of society wherever you are," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Sunday evening, April 14.

Meanwhile, Commander of Fleet III Command, Rear Admiral TNI Hersan, regretted that the TNI-Polri synergy that had been established had been damaged by irresponsible persons. He also hopes that the incident will not happen again in the future, so that the solidity of the TNI-Polri will remain closely established.

Pangkoarmada III has visited the victims who were being treated at RSAL dr. Oetojo Sorong City. He also gave a press statement at the Sorong City Police after visiting the victim.

Currently, he said, mediation has been carried out by the TNI and Polri leaders in the sorong area. The leadership will follow up on the incident by carrying out further investigations, if there are individuals who are proven to have committed violations, they will be processed according to the applicable law.

Pangkoarmada III revealed that the Kapolda had apologized to the TNI, in particular and the general public and would take firm action against the perpetrators who caused the damage to the solidity of the TNI-Polri.

"We hope that colleagues who are still in the hospital will be given a speedy recovery, and once again, we will maintain the solidity of the TNI-Polri," he emphasized.
