No Iranian Drone Can Touch Israel, Joe Biden Says

JAKARTA - US President Joe Biden said nearly all the drones and missiles launched from Iran were intercepted by allies. Iran's attack -- so far -- has proven unable to touch Israel.

From the White House, Biden also said Iran was assisted by its proxy forces in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

"Due to my direction, to support Israel's defense, the US military has moved aircraft and missile defense destroyers to the region over the past week. Thanks to this deployment and the extraordinary skills of our soldiers, we are helping Israel destroy nearly all incoming drones and missiles," Biden said. quoted from The Guardian, Sunday 14 April.

Biden said America's "strong" commitment to Israel was back in its telephone talks with Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I told him that Israel is showing tremendous capacity to defend against and defeat unprecedented attacks", sending a clear message to its enemies that they cannot effectively threaten Israel's security," he said.

The US helped Israel destroy nearly all drones and missiles fired at Israel. The US uses defense and aircraft that have been displaced to the region over the past week.

Iran launched about 185 drones, 110 surface-to-surface missiles, and 36 cruise missiles into Israel, two Israeli officials told The New York Times.

Although mostly launched from Iran, some also came from Iraq and Yemen, according to officials. US President Joe Biden said missiles came from Syria, Yemen, and Iraq.
