PBOI Considers Normal Increase In The Price Of Vehicle Parts During Eid
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Workshop Association (PBOIN)Hermas E. Prabowo said the price of vehicle parts tends to increase during the Eid holiday season, even reaching 40 percent of the normal price.
"In the conditions of the holiday holidays, the price of spare parts and services that is a little more expensive is indeed natural. The important thing is that it is still within reasonable limits, for example for spare parts there is a price increase of 20 percent from normal conditions, I think it is still quite reasonable, especially in locations far from the city," said Hermas in a short message to Antara, Saturday. Hermas explained that the price of spare parts and workshop services rose during Lebaran because the mechanics did not have a day off, apart from that they did not have a definite daily income. The mechanics with the status of freelancers also did not receive holiday allowances.
"The increase in service costs by up to 40 percent for certain types of jobs that require special expertise and efforts that are more than mechanics and workshops, it is still quite fair. If there is no increase in costs at all, of course it is unfair for them," said Hermas.
When you have to repair or maintain routine vehicles during the Lebaran holiday season, vehicle owners are advised to ask for a clear price list and price agreement to avoid people taking advantage of the situation. "If necessary to go to the workshop and have to be handled by a workshop or mechanically freelance, make detailed agreements at the beginning before repairs are made. Such as the details of the type of work, costs and also the price of spare parts," said Hermas. When the price offered still makes sense, the vehicle owner can trust the workshop. The price increase in current conditions is still reasonable due to the conditions and also the density of vehicles.

Hermas also suggested that the price increase is more than 40 percent, if you can still avoid the workshop or service.
Most travelers using private vehicles have problems with leakage of cooling systems, which causes their vehicles to become overheating (too hot). In addition, the problem of a water conditioner (AC) system in vehicles used during homecoming as well, for example not functioning or uncomfortable, also often occurs.
To avoid this problem, travelers are required to carry out a thorough check before returning to their destination in order to prevent unwanted things during the trip.
