Eid Backflow, PLN Banten Ensures Operational SPKLU Jakarta-Merak Andal Toll Road
JAKARTA - After successfully keeping the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) safe and reliable in serving electric car users during the Eid 1445 H homecoming period, now PLN is also ready to secure SPKLU for homecoming return flow.
The Jakarta - Merak toll road is one of the main routes that travelers from the island of Java to the island of Sumatra or vice versa. For this reason, the presence of a prime SPKLU, especially on the Jakarta - Merak Toll Road which is the main route, is very important to support travelers who use electric cars.
General Manager of PLN Banten Distribution Main Unit Abdul Mukhlis explained that overall his party had operated 51 SPKLU units spread across 32 locations and 1 SPKLU Mobile unit during the Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijri homecoming alert period.
Abdul Mukhlis added that on the Jakarta toll road to Merak Port to Sumatra there is SPKLU in the rest area of KM 13.5A, KM 43, KM 68A, and at Merak Port. Meanwhile, from the opposite direction, there are SPKLU in Rest Area KM 68B and 45B.
"In each SPKLU rest area location, there is a PLN standby post that can be used by electric car users to rest and wait for battery charging. In each post there are PLN officers who are ready to help car users if they experience battery charging problems," said Abdul Mukhlis in a statement to the media, Saturday, April 13.
Abdul Mukhlis explained that to provide comfort to electric vehicle users, currently PLN Mobile SuperApp has been equipped with three additional features that support electric car travelers.
"Electric car users can now take advantage of the Trip Planner feature to design travel and charging plans when using electric cars, scan the SPKLU barcode for charging, which now only requires two stages from the previous 3 stages, as well as the SPKLU Alert pop-up which allows direct communication with the 24-hour SPKLU hotline through the PLN 123 call center number or whatsapp 087771112123," explained Abdul Mukhlis.

Andi, one of the users of an electric car from Serang who used the SPKLU at Merak Port, was satisfied with the PLN SPKLU service, especially the alertness of the officers who helped direct it. He was also impressed by the existence of a post intended for each travelers, especially electric car users, to rest while waiting for battery charging.
"It was greatly helped by the SPKLU at Merak Port, the location is very strategic. Appreciation for PLN who was quick to help me when I was about to charge electric car batteries using PLN Mobile. The command post is also comfortable and I am satisfied with the services provided by the PLN team," concluded Andi.
