Passengers Give Birth On Train, PT KAI Distributes Travel Provisions For Pregnant Women

JAKARTA - PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta distributed travel provisions for pregnant passengers traveling by train. This was done after previously there was one passenger who was caught giving birth while using a train trip. Ixfan said, the appeal was aimed at preventing unwanted things from happening for pregnant women during the train journey and if they needed help or immediate help contact the conductor whose telephone number is installed at the front end of each train cabin.

"The provisions for pregnant women to travel by train are mandatory to be accompanied by 1 adult passenger for pregnancy of 14 to 28 weeks, and for those aged over 28 weeks they must include the latest doctor's statement for examination of the womb," added Ixfan. KAI asks passengers who are pregnant to always obey these provisions.
