National Police Chief: The Peak Of Homecoming Flows Is Passed Well
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo when checking the condition of KM 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Road, Karawang, West Java, said that the peak of the homecoming flow for Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijri/2024 AD can be exceeded well.
"The peak of the homecoming flow can be exceeded well," said Sigit as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.
The National Police Chief listened to the temporary evaluation of the implementation of the 2024 homecoming flow when checking the situation at KM 70.
In general, said the National Police Chief, the implementation of the homecoming flow on toll roads from KM 50 to KM 414 Kalikangkung experienced a significant increase during the peak of the flow.
"Earlier it was reported that there was a spread, there was an increase in the number of around 6 to 7 (percent) compared to homecoming in 2023," said Sigit.
Although there has been an increase in the flow of vehicles with a span of time spread on 5, 6, 7, and 8, this year's Eid homecoming flow can be carried out well.
"So if 2023 is at D-3 (the peak of the flow), this time it shifts to D-4 with the peak level of the homecoming flow that has decreased and this is spread in the previous days," said Sigit.

The National Police Chief appreciated the management of the homecoming flow which had gone well when compared to 2023 and 2024.
"So we found a formulation to deal with homecoming flow in 2025," he said.
According to Sigit, the handling of this year's homecoming flow also has implications for traveling time for travelers to be faster than usual.
"And there is also an increase in speed. For achievements ranging from start to Central Java, which is usually 8 hours, this time it becomes 6 to 7 hours. So, there is improvement," said Sigit.
The National Police Chief also said that the results of the temporary evaluation of the homecoming flow were materials to prepare for the backflow which was predicted to occur on April 15 and 16.
"Similarly with the backflow that we will face in the near future," he said.
