Heru Budi: Social Assistance In Front Of The Palace From President Jokowi's Operational Fund

Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Heru Budi Hartono said the President's social assistance fund (Bansos) in the form of 1,000 bags containing basic necessities distributed in front of the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Monday afternoon, was sourced from the President's operational funds.

"Yes, the President's operational funds vary, including social assistance," said Heru Budi Hartono after accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to distribute aid to a number of motorists in front of the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

He said social assistance in the form of 5 kg of rice, sugar, vegetable oil, biscuits, and teabags was distributed to the target community who happened to pass on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, to be precise in front of the Merdeka Palace.

According to Heru, the agenda is a form of President Jokowi's attention to the community at the end of Ramadan 1445 H/2024.

"That the President pays attention to the people who last minutes still live in Jakarta. Yes, this is the habit of the President wanting to be close to the community and towards the end of Ramadan entering Eid al-Fitr, yes he pays attention to that," he said.

Heru, who also serves as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, said that the assistance was the same program distributed by the President on various opportunities for working visits to various regions in Indonesia.

"This is routine, yesterday there was also in Bogor. It will continue, when the President wants it and visits to the regions," he said.

The distribution of aid from the President was open since 16.30 WIB and ended at around 17.15 WIB which was attended by online motorcycle taxi drivers, local residents, and DKI Jakarta cleaning staff.
