Angkot Loss Of Control Of Motorcycle Collision In Bogor

BOGOR - Angkot lost control while crossing Jalan Raya Karadenan, Sukaraja, Bogor Regency, West Java, and crashed into three motorists and a building unit.

Head of Gakum Satlantas Bogor Police, Ipda Ferdhyan Mulya, revealed that the successive accident occurred at around 08.00 WIB.

"(Angkot) crashed into three motorcyclists, now being treated by an angkot driver and a motorcyclist at the FMC Hospital," said Ipda Ferdhyan as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

One of the three motorists who became victims was Hendi Novian Lesmana, a reporter for the daily photo of Radar Bogor who wanted to cover the condition of the Puncak Tourism Line, Cisarua, during the Lebaran 1445 Hijri holiday situation.

CCTV footage shows the angkot driven by Andi Yatman speeding from Bogor to Cibinong. The angkot drove at high speed until it passed the road markings and hit Hendi who came from the opposite direction.

Hendi was the third motorist who was hit by the blue angkot before finally crashing into a resident's house across the street.

"The Suzuki Angkot 32 vehicle number F 1902 NW continued to move to the right lost control and then hit a house belonging to the right side of the road from Bogor, resulting in a traffic accident," said Ipda Ferdhyan.

He revealed that the incident was estimated to have caused material losses of up to Rp50 million, and now Hendi has to undergo surgery on his right arm.
