PLTU Paiton Is In Excellent Condition, President Director Of PLN: Safe Electricity Supply Ahead Of Eid
JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) (Persero) ensures that the electricity supply at the Paiton Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is in prime condition during the Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri Electricity Alert. "We want to ensure that our brothers and sisters who are celebrating Lebaran can also really run smoothly because there is no disturbance in their electricity supply," said PT PLN (Persero) President Director Darmawan Prasodjo quoting Antara. Meanwhile, he also wants to ensure that the primary supply of PLTU Paiton is also well available. "It is really well available in this supply of coal, its gas supply and fuel supply. We have also carried out maintenance long before this Eid alert," he said. Damrawan explained, he directly reviewed the location of the PLTU Paiton with a capacity of 4.7 Giga Watt (GW) contributing to supplying around 60 percent of electricity in East Java. Meanwhile, for the Java and Bali (Jamali) electricity system, this plant supplies 17 percent of the electricity needs. "This means that this is 60 percent of the capacity installed in East Java and this also supplies 17 percent of electricity throughout Java, Madura and Bali," said Darmawan. Therefore, he immediately reviewed the location of the plant and ensured that all of its coal supply was also safe.

Dammawan added, the peak load on the Jamali system at the time of Eid al-Fitr is estimated at 21 thousand megawatts (MW), with Power Able to Supply (DMP) reaching 35 thousand MW. "Usually, the peak load in Java, Madura and Bali is at 35 Gigawatts and is predicted at the time of Eid al-Fitr reaching 21 gigawatts," he said. "This means that again, the electricity supply is safe and the generator is in a ready and prime condition, where we have carried out the maintenance program in advance," he added.
