Shin Tae-yong Finds Problems In The Back Line Of Indonesia U-23 After The Trial Against Saudi Arabia
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team lost 1-3 against Saudi Arabia in a test match at The Sevens Stadiun, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Friday, April 5, 2024, evening local time or Saturday, April 6, 2024, early morning WIB.
The U-23 Indonesian national team's only goal was scored by Komang Teguh in the 32nd minute.
Shin Tae-yong is not satisfied with the result. It's just that, the most important thing for him is to play almost all the players because he wants to see the condition of his players.
"Certainly not satisfied, yes. However, with the substitutions, almost everything was played in the first and second half to check the condition of the players. From the side of the game, it wasn't too bad."
"Indeed, just checking the condition of the players. Moreover, there is a change of almost all players," said Shin Tae-yong.

However, apart from the player's condition, Shin Tae-yong apparently learned a lesson from the match against Saudi Arabia.
The South Korean coach saw that there were still problems in his team's defense.
"Indeed, there is a problem in the back line because there are some players who cannot join. So, that's what we are thinking about how to anticipate the back line," said Shin Tae-yong.
The test match against Saudi Arabia is part of the U-23 Indonesian national team training camp in Dubai since April 1, 2024.
They still have one more trial against the United Arab Emirates on March 8, 2024 local time.
The U-23 Indonesian national team training camp will be completed on April 10, 2024. On the same day, they will go to Qatar to face the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
In the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup, the U-23 Indonesian national team joined in Group A with Qatar, Australia, and Jordan.
