CATL Launches New Electric Batteries For Trucks And Buses, Use Periods Up To 15 Years

JAKARTA - Electric vehicles are one of the promising future transportations, which can reduce exhaust emissions and provide many other benefits.

Speaking of electric cars that are closely related to batteries, currently most companies provide guarantees (battery) of only 10 years or 999,400 km.

But the world's largest electric vehicle battery manufacturers CATL and Yutong Bus Co have just taken a huge step forward, which could increase electrification reach.

Quoting from the ArenaEV page, Friday, April 5. The two companies have just launched new batteries specifically aimed at commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks, by offering warranties for up to 15 years or a distance of 1,499,910 km, this guarantee has never existed before.

Interestingly, this battery is claimed to have not degraded in the first 1,000 charging cycles and is equipped with leading guarantees in the industry. This is a significant leap in the long life of trucks and electric buses, which has the potential to cut the cost of long-term ownership.

As is known, CATL and Yutong have been partnering since 2012, and they are planning further expansion around the world with innovative new batteries on a variety of Yutong commercial vehicles.

It is also known that the dominance of Chinese companies cannot be underestimated about battery production, such as CATL and BYD, continues to provide new innovations in terms of batteries. Not only used by local manufacturers, several global brands such as Tesla, Ford, BMW and others have long used batteries from China for electric vehicles.
