Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Will Pray Eid At The Istiqlal Mosque
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said he would perform Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri prayers at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
"I am Eid in Jakarta, God willing, I will pray Eid (Idulfitri) at Istiqlal," said the Vice President in a statement in Manado quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.
The vice president said that during Eid he would be in Jakarta until Dzuhur time, after that he would leave for Banten.
"I was in Jakarta to Dzuhur. After Dzuhur, I just went to Banten," he said.
When asked whether the Vice President will hold a griya title during Eid. The vice president said that his house was always open.
"Anyway, if the houses continue, I never close, let alone the holidays, so just open them up," said the vice president.
Meanwhile, State Secretary Pratikno previously said President Joko Widodo also had the possibility of celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri this year in Jakarta.

Pratikno said this could happen because the President received a letter from the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas to attend and perform Eid prayers at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta.
"What is clear is that there has been an incoming letter from the Minister of Religion to the President, invitation to Eid prayers at Istiqlal. So it could be in Jakarta," said Pratikno.
