Platform X Gives Blue Tick Freely, Here Are The Conditions!

JAKARTA Platform X, when it was still called Twitter, gave a blue tick for free to a particular account. However, after Elon Musk took over the company, this tick system changed. Blue ticks are not special because all users can get them by buying them. In other words, the blue tick is the identity for platform X users who subscribe to the Premium X package. However, surprisingly, some X users get the blue tick again for free. Initially, many users were confused by the blue tick on their account. However, Musk has answered their confusion. "Any account with more than 2,500 verified followers ( Premium or Premium+ customers) will get the Premium feature for free and the account with more than 5,000 (followers) will get Premium+ for free," Musk explained through his account. In a simple way, this policy benefits big accounts such as artists, influencers, political figures, and other big accounts. They don't need to subscribe to the Premium package anymore because they will get it for free.

Since the blue tick can be bought and can be monetized, this sign often gets criticism. The reason is, many blue tick accounts deliberately attract the anger of other users so that their upload traffic increases and more money is generated. For example, when there are uploads discussing victims of sexual harassment, they will leave controversial comments such as blaming the victim. Reactions like this will certainly get more interaction. It seems, this bad image will continue to stick as long as accounts with blue ticks often make controversial comments. At least, a bad image like this will not be attached to big accounts that have a lot of fans.
