Walk Out Of The Constitutional Court's Session When Eddy Hiariej Talks, BW: Attitudes To Strengthen Integrity
JAKARTA - A member of Anies-Muhaimin's legal team, Bambang Widjojanto, revealed the reason he left the courtroom or walked out aaat ahli from the Prabowo-Gibran team, Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej, will explain his legal views at the Constitutional Court (MK) trial.
Bambang admitted that he only upholds his integrity because he considers that Eddy's status, who was once a KPK suspect, is inappropriate to be presented as an expert in the courtroom.
Bahkan, Bambang mendapat informasi bahwa Eddy akan kembali ditetapkan tersangka.
"I took a stand to uphold integrity. So I left it to my friends on the testimony of my real friend, Professor Eddy. I don't want to argue too deeply," said Bambang on the sidelines of the Constitutional Court trial, Thursday, April 4.
However, according to Bambang, he did not have personal problems with the former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights. According to him, the party who did not accept the walk out attitude was Prabowo-Gibran's attorney.
"I know that it wasn't Eddy who was angry, Eddy's guard was angry. There was OC Kaligis, there was Yusril, there were various things. Yes, I said that was a bit careless. But yes, that's it," said Bambang.
Eddy Hiariej was brought to the courtroom today in his capacity as an expert proposed by the Prabowo-Gibran team as the relevant party. Bambang also asked permission the panel of judges to leave the courtroom and explain the reason.
"The assembly, because I objected earlier, I gave permission to resign when my colleague, Professor Hiariej, would provide an explanation," said Bambang at the Constitutional Court.

The former deputy chairman of the KPK said that he would return to the courtroom after Eddy no longer gave his legal views regarding the case.
"Later I will enter again in other expert witnesses. (This) is a consistency of my attitude. Thank you," said Bambang.
Bambang left the courtroom after being allowed by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo. Previously at the opening of the trial, Bambang had submitted an objection to the Constitutional Court over Eddy's presence at the trial as an expert from the Prabowo camp.
The former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights is known to have served as a KPK suspect, before finally the status died because Eddy won pretrial.
Bambang assessed that Eddy did not deserve to be an expert in the Constitutional Court trial. "The relevance is someone who is a suspect, especially in corruption cases. In order to respect this court, he should be released as an expert," said Bambang.
