Suzuki Introduces Vitara Facelift In The European Market, What's The Change?

JAKARTA - Suzuki introduced a facelift from Vitara for the European market. The manufacturer refreshes a number of aspects of this model from design, infotainment systems, to upgraded safety devices.

Launching Carscoops, Thursday, April 4, the difference can be seen in the front bumper that is redesigned with a slimmer DRL on the side. In addition, the SUV also gets the latest grip with an intake in the center that is bigger surrounded by black.

The Japanese manufacturer also added a new set of more aerodynamic rims with two exterior color choices, consisting of Titan Dark Gray Pearl Metallic and Sphere Blue combined with the Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic roof.

For the interior, Suzuki retains existing designs on previous models. However, manufacturers added an infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen supported by USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The automotive manufacturer also features the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) feature with a number of updates, including Dual Sensor Brake Support II, Driver Monitoring System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Lane Keeping Assist.

Meanwhile, the powertrain offered has not changed with before, namely a 1.4 liter gasoline engine measuring 127 dk coupled to a 48V mild-hybrid system providing 14 dk of additional power. This configuration cooperates with the transmission of six manual accelerations channeled to four-wheel drive (AllGrip Select 4WD).

Another option is that the full-hybrid of the lithium-ion 140V battery is coupled to a 1.5 liter 99-volume engine with a single electric motor with a magnitude of 33 dk, resulting in a combined power of up to 115 dk with an automatic transmission of six accelerations.

The Suzuki Vitara facelift will arrive at a European dealer network earlier this summer ahead of the official price launch of the model.
