Google's Experimental SGE Feature Will Be A Paid Service
JAKARTA Search Generative Experience (SGE), part of the Search Labs program, is an experimental feature that can be accessed for free onGoogleSearch. However, this service is not always free. Based on the Financial Times report,Google plans to make SGE a paid generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tracking feature. Additionally, Google also doesn't consider ad-free services in that feature.Google confirms that they are, "looking for options, including adding certain AI-supported search features to its premium subscription service. The subscription that Google alludes to is a Google One AI Premium package.Google also emphasizes that they are not working on or even considering an ad-free SGE search system. Google doesn't seem to explain the reason, but it seems they just want to optimize the use of SGE. On the other hand, Google reveals that they deliberately make SGE a paid feature. According to Google, SGE's search results are more computationally intensive. Therefore, Google wants to add SGE to their cloud services.

Although this plan has already been published, Google executives have yet to make a decision regarding when the feature will be rolled out in paid form. Chances are, certain parts of SGE can still be accessed for free. Plans to make SGE a paid feature are actually a little surprising. The reason is, SGE is an experimental feature that only registrants can access, but this feature was expanded to some users who did not register. Google says that it deliberately expands SGE to more users to receive input from the rest of society. It seems that this is deliberately done so that Google can optimize SGE before making its features paid.
