Ruyat expressed his appreciation for Bogor's progressive progress, especially in reducing poverty levels. However, he also highlighted the increase in the level of social inequality. This can be seen from the increase in the Human Development Index (IPM) in West Java from 73.12 in 2022 to 73.74 in 2023. In Bogor Regency, HDI rose from 71.20 in 2022 to 71.78 in 2023. Meanwhile, in Bogor City, IPM increased from 77.17 in 2022 to 77.85 in 2023.
Although the poverty rate in West Java decreased from 4,071,000 people in 2022 to 3,888,600 people in 2023, and in Bogor Regency from 474,700 people fell to 453,800 people in 2023, and in Bogor City from 79,200 people fell to 75,000 people in 2023, the gap rate, measured by the Gini ratio, increased. The ratio in West Java rose from 0.4170 in 2022 to 0.4250 in 2023.
Ruyat stated that it is time for young people who have the potential to dare to lead in reducing the level of economic inequality. This emphasizes the importance of concrete action in taking over leadership in Bogor, not just rhetoric. PKS politician, Aditiyawarman Adil, and Nasdem politician, Beninu Argobie, also expressed support for this thought.
The West Java Provincial Government has accelerated development by providing financial assistance to the Bogor Regency Government and Bogor City. The infrastructure projects financed include the construction of the Otista Bridge, Great Mosque, Block I of the Bogor City Hospital, Parung Hospital, Cisarua Market revitalization, and the construction of the Ciimekar Square.
