West Java Governor Bey Machmudin Inaugurated As Expert Staff For Political Communication
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno inaugurated Beyvi Machmudin as Expert Staff for Political and Public Relations Communication at the Ministry of State Secretariat Building Jakarta, Wednesday, April 3.
Bey Machmudin previously served as Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat. Currently he also serves as Acting Governor of West Java (Jabar).
"The rotation is that Mrs. Sari is an expert staff. Changed the position of expert staff. Then the Expert Staff for Communication and Public Relations were empty. That was filled by Mr. Bey. Mr. Bey was previously Deputy for Press and Media Protocols," said Pratikno when met at the Jakarta State Secretariat Ministry Building, Wednesday.
During the inauguration, there was a shift in position, namely Sari Harjanti, who was previously an Expert Staff for Political Communication and Public Relations, was rotated as an Expert Staff for Economics, Maritime Affairs, Human Development and Culture.
Because the position was vacant, Bey Machmudin served as Expert Staff for Political and Public Relations Communication.
The rotation of the position is stated through Presidential Decree Number 35/TPA of 2024 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of Middle High Leadership Positions within the Ministry of State Secretariat.

According to Pratikno, Bey's duties as the Acting Governor of West Java are excessive because he must continue to fulfill his obligations as Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media, which are related to President Jokowi's always busy activities.
"So that Mr. Bey also doesn't appear because the Deputy at the Presidential Secretariat is very busy with Mr. President's busy activities," said Pratikno.
Pratikno added that the position of Acting Governor of West Java is still mandated to Bey.
Meanwhile, Bey admitted that this rotation made him no burden to prepare for the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
"We just run it and it's lighter for me because there is no burden to prepare the 17's at IKN and I can focus more on West Java," said Bey.
