Map Prone Points To Congestion, Gibran Ensures Cross-Solo Homecoming Is Safe

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government, Central Java, pays attention to congestion-prone points on the flow of homecoming and back to Lebaran 2024.

"We have coordinated with Forkompinda regarding congestion points and vulnerable points," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 3.

However, he tried to ensure that everything went smoothly and safely.

"The important thing is that everything is smooth, safe. God willing, everything is safe," he said.

Regarding the Gilingan Viaduk which was closed for widening and increasing heights, according to him, if according to schedule, today should be open to the public.

"Today should be possible, just wait," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Surakarta City Transportation Service, Taufiq Muhammad, had asked the contractor to provide certainty about the readiness of pedestrian access in the Gilingan Viaduk.

According to him, supporting access for pedestrians is needed to support pedestrian circulation going to the Sheikh Zayed Solo Grand Mosque.

"Yesterday I also said that the facilities for pedestrians are also ready when traffic access on the Gilingan Viaduk will be opened. This is being prepared with the contractor," he said.
