Rules For Riding Fast Trains During Eid Holidays, Passengers Are Only Allowed To Bring 2 Suitcases And One Backpack
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) applies regulations related to luggage that passengers can carry during the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holiday.
The policy was carried out to ensure safety of travel and to maintain the comfort of all passengers of the Fast Train
KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said each passenger can only carry three items with a maximum dimension, namely 100 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm with a maximum weight of 20 kg.
The three items were in the form of two suitcases or boxes and a backpack or handbag.
"We are doing this arrangement to ensure passengers can keep moving comfortably and freely when moving from the waiting room, to x-rays to runway trains. KCIC is also trying to ensure all passengers get the same comfort when carrying goods," Eva said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 2.
Nevertheless, KCIC states that there are exceptions for some items whose dimensions exceed the rules, namely sports equipment in the form of golf courses and fishing rods stored in bags; personal means of transportation in the form of folding bicycles, folding scooters, and regular bicycles in incomplete conditions that are given covers; allowed musical instruments, namely those that can be gossiped and wrapped as well as walking aids in the form of manual wheelchairs, road sticks and baby trains.
During the socialization period, said Eva, passengers caught carrying goods that are not in accordance with the provisions will be given education and appeals related to the provisions of the luggage.
"In addition, KCIC urges passengers to store their luggage on the baggage rack that has been provided neatly. The damage to the train caused by the passenger's trunk is the responsibility of the passenger and is required to pay compensation according to the damage in question," he said.

Regarding travel security, KCIC also regulates the type of luggage that passengers should not carry, namely narcotics, firearms and sharpness, flammable goods, sharp goods, and goods that are not allowed by officers and statutory regulations.
"Passengers who bring goods according to the prohibition above are not allowed to bring their goods on the road," said Eva.
As for luggage, KCIC appealed to passengers to always keep them on the train and at the Fast Train Station
Even though there are lost and found services available, vigilance and caution of passengers are also needed so that no items are left behind or swapped.
"In this Lebaran holiday season, it is predicted that passengers will increase. The arrangement of passenger baggage will provide a sense of security and comfort to all flights both while at the station and on the way," said Eva.
