After Launching The Magma Program, Genesis Interested In Falls To The Racing Event

JAKARTA - Genesis recently launched a high-performance vehicle program called "Magma" and will be present in the ranks of existing models.

The launch of the sub-brand also opens up opportunities for this South Korean company to enter the world of racing. The reason is, Genesis appointed the six-time Le Mans winnerur Ickx as the official consultant and brand ambassador.

However, Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke explained that his party must find the right moment or it takes time to decide whether to take this brand to the realm of motorsports or not.

"We also have to find the right moment because the current racing event is filled with regulatory instability, because electrification of all motorsport regulations has changed. So we have to wait a while," said Donckerwolke, quoted from Motor1, Tuesday, March 2.

The Genesis, which is under the auspices of the Hyundai Motor Group, has introduced the GV60 Magma Concept as a marker of a new era of electrification.

Genesis GV60 Magma Concept, the company's high-performance car concept, which is full of luxury, is claimed to be able to provide an experience that raises enthusiasm and joy in every journey.

This model is not the only Genesis car born from Magma. Several other cars were also developed as part of this program including the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. These cars mark the brand's expansion into the realm of high-performance cars.

It is estimated that GV60 Magma will be present next year as the first production model of the Magma Genesis Program. The concept car on display at the Genesis House New York is very close to the mass production version. The four cars from the Magma program were also featured on the New York International Auto Show from March 29 to April 7.
