PLN Turns On 300 Home Charging Simultaneously In Jakarta
PT PLN (Persero) has successfully turned on home charging services for 300 electric vehicle or electric vehicle users in Jakarta. This step is part of PLN's efforts to continue to intensify the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
"We continue to encourage the acceleration of the energy transition in the transportation sector. PLN strongly supports people who want to switch from fossil fuel vehicles to low-emission vehicles," said PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo.
General Manager of PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya, Lasiran said that the simultaneous lighting of 300 home charging services was successfully carried out in stages for 3 days from March 25 to 27, 2024. This lighting was carried out in Greater Jakarta with a total power of 2.8 million VA.
Lasiran explained, thanks to the digital transformation that was successfully carried out by PLN, PLN's home charging services can now be easily accessible to the public through the PLN Mobile application. Not only that, PLN Mobile is also equipped with an Electric Vehicle Digital Services (EVDS) feature to support various needs of electric vehicle drivers.
"Through PLN Mobile, the application for new installations of electricity for home charging is very easy and fast. It is enough to enjoy it through one door and even an incentive is given, namely discounted new pairs and discounted rates," said Lasiran.

Lasiran revealed the discount that will be received by customers, namely. First, if you do charging from 22.00 to 05.00 then the customer automatically gets a tariff discount of 30 percent. Second, a new home charging pair discount from the normal price of the new tide of 7,700 VA worth IDR 8.5 million, to only IDR 850 thousand.
Until 2024, PLN UID Jakarta Raya has succeeded in installing new home charging on 3,265 customers.
One of the customers who are users of electric vehicles, Artadi Saleh said that the installation of electricity for home charging is very fast, uncomplicated, and very easy.
"The installation of home charging is very fast, even racing with the number plate, so the electricity is faster. There are also many conveniences (using an electric car), odd-even can pass, and there are many discounts," concluded Artadi.
