Electric Supercar BYD Mejeng At BIMS 2024, Ready To Enter The ASEAN Market?
JAKARTA - After being introduced last year, BYD YangWang U9 officially made its debut in Southeast Asia at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) in Thailand.
This exotic-looking supercar-style car has a luxurious touch. Keep in mind, the YangWang sub-brand is a luxury brand promoted by this Chinese manufacturer.
Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, April 2, this car is the first Chinese car to come with monobok carbon fibers and an active Disus-X body control suspension developed by BYD itself. This system allows the car to maneuver agilely, including "driving" and driving with only three wheels.
The aggressive appearance of this car is supported by an active back wing and a standard diffuser that resembles a real racing car. The manufacturer gave him a 21-inch rim wrapped in the Pirelli P Zero 275/35 tires up front and 325/80 behind.

The inside has a premium supercar-style cockpit. The entire cabin is decorated with 127 colors of lighting system. In addition, there is a screen of a 10.25-inch mini-LED digital instrument accompanied by a 12.3-inch mini-LED portrait touch screen as an infotainment.
This supercar is equipped with four electric motors with combined power reaching 1,287 dk and a torque of 1,680 Nm which can glide from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds and can cover a distance of 400 m in 9.78 seconds.

Meanwhile, YangWang U9 can reach its highest speed of up to 309.1 km/hour as proven at the Shanghai International Circuit, China, managed to outperform Nio EP9 and Porsche Panamera Turbo.
Carrying a 80 kWh-capacity Blade lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery, BYD YangWang U9 can power a range of up to 465 km according to CLTC standards. This battery supports a 500 kW fast charging that can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 10 minutes.
In China, YangWang U9 is sold at a price of 1.68 million yuan (around Rp3.7 billion). The estimated delivery is expected to begin in mid-2024.
