Preventing Long Queues To Congestion, Pertamina Asks Travelers To Buy Fuel Non-cash Fuel
PT Pertamina (Persero) encourages travelers who use private vehicles to buy fuel oil (BBM) to use cashless or cashless payments.
Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso said that reflecting on last year, the majority of travelers bought fuel at the Fuel Filling Station with cash.
Reflecting on last year, said Fadjar, Pertamina encourages people to buy fuel with non-cash or cashless.
"We appeal to the whole community when, for example, buying fuel, we urge the public to use non-cash payments. Because based on last year's experience, 90 percent of payments at this homecoming gas station still use cash," he said while reviewing Pertamina MT Haryono gas station, South Jakarta, Monday, April 1.
Fadjar said that by buying cashless or non-cash, it would cut the transaction time of the consumers. It is hoped that this will reduce the queue.
"Cashless or non-cash can reduce the queue, so that the transaction process or duration per consumer can be less. So there is no interest and causes traffic jams," he said.
Fadjar also said Pertamina ensured that the fuel stock was safe to support community activities during the Eid Al-Fitr 2024 period.
Once again, we are operating 24 hours a day until April 21, no holidays, no leave to ensure that services to the community, both fuel supply, LPG can be distributed properly. Hopefully, we hope that this year's homecoming will run smoothly, safely and healthily," he said.
Previously, it was reported that PT Pertamina (Persero) was preparing to face a surge in the use of fuel oil (BBM) during the Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran 2024 homecoming period. Where, Pertamina predicts fuel consumption will increase by 6 percent.
