Constitutional Court Summons 4 Jokowi Ministers, Anies-Imin Team: Good News
JAKARTA - Anies-Muhaimin's legal team, Heru Widodo, assessed that the decision of the Constitutional Mahakmah (MK) to summon four presidential ministers Joko Widodo in the 2024 presidential election dispute trial was good news.
"There is good news this afternoon. Regarding the court that issued 4 ministers and 1 electoral institution, the honorary council of election organizers," Heru said after the trial at the Constitutional Court building, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 1.
Heru considers that the presence of Jokowi's ministers in the next Constitutional Court trial is indeed needed to clarify allegations of misuse of the state budget, such as the distribution of social assistance to win Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Indeed, Jokowi's plan to summon the panel of judges was not interpreted by the Constitutional Court in granting the petitioners' requests. Not all of the names of ministers who will be summoned are similar to the wishes of the Anies-Muhaimin and Ganjar-Mahfud teams.
However, Anies-Muhaimin's camp said they were happy because the Constitutional Court would not only summon ministers, but also the Honorary Council for Election Implementation (DKPP) to explain the issue of ethical violations of the General Elections Commission (KPU) regarding Gibran's nomination procedure.
"This is extraordinary. We are sure that we will get the facts submitted by the DKPP that there was an receipt of the candidate pair registration file and then the making of the minutes that passed from the limits set by the KPU," said Heru.

Previously, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK), Suhartoyo, said that he had banned four ministers of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi to hear his testimony as a witness in the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) trial.
They include Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy; Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani; and Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini
"Based on the results of the meeting of His Excellency the judges this morning, the first thing that the Court needs to hear is Muhadjir Effendy Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Airlangga Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Sri Mulyani Minister of Finance, Tri Risma Harini Minister of Social Affairs," Suhartoyo said in the trial.
Not only that, the court also agreed to present the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP). However, it is emphasized that their summons does not mean that the court accommodates the applicants. However, it is only for the benefit of the trial.
"This is solely for the benefit of the judges. In simple language, we reject the petitioners' petition, but we take a separate stance because the positions of the judges choosing these parties are considered important to be heard at trial," he said.
The plan is for the four Jokowi ministers to be presented and their statements heard this weekend. "Hopefully it can be heard on Friday, April 5, 2024," said Suhartoyo.
