Safari Ramadan Papuan Police Chief And Head Of BNNP Papua, Strengthen Tolerance And Safety During The Holy Month

PAPUA - Still in the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan, on Friday, March 29, 2024, the Al Muhajirin Mosque of West Koya witnessed the presence of the Papuan Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Mathius D. Fakhiri, SIK, and the Head of BNNP Papua, Brigadier General Pol. Norman W, SIK, and their entourage. They attended the Ramadan Safari and Iftar. This event started at 17.00 WIT and lasted until it was finished.

The main goal of this Ramadan Safari is to ensure that the fasting process takes place safely and strengthen tolerance in Papua.

The Papuan Police Chief expressed his gratitude for the success of maintaining tolerance in Papua, especially in supporting various religious rituals. "I am grateful that in Papua tolerance is really maintained by all and it is proven from reports from mosque administrators that here we are used to fasting, Eid al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha Katolic youth helping with security as well. The hope is like this continues because the same thing is also done during Christmas celebrations," said the Papuan Police Chief.

In addition to strengthening tolerance, this event is also used as a means of education, especially for youth and mosque assembly, to get closer to God Almighty and stay away from narcotics abuse. The activity was continued with the Isha and Tarawih prayers together at the Nurul Haq Koya Barat Mosque.

Thus, the presence of the Papuan Police Chief and the Head of BNNP Papua in the Ramadan Safari not only strengthens the brotherhood between religious believers, but also strengthens safety and security during the holy month of Ramadan.
