Army Chief Of Staff Signs Possible Relocation Of Settlements Near TNI Ammunition Warehouse
JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff General (KSAD) of the TNI Maruli Simanjuntak said that there is an opportunity to relocate residential areas near the Regional Munisi Warehouse (Gudpur) of Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana Village, Bogor Regency, West Java.
"Yes, there is a possibility (relocation). Everything is there, there must be, later it will be the result of the evaluation," Maruli said, quoted by Antara in Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday.
This was conveyed by Maruli in response to the fire and explosion incident that befell the cheap Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana Village on Saturday night (30/3). However, the Army Chief of Staff explained that the discussion on relocation will still be discussed, including regarding the technical possibility of its implementation.
"We are looking for more technical details, is it possible for us, for example, this condition is only disrupted by the threat, it turns out that we can handle it. Maybe we can't without being disturbed by all kinds of voices? And we discuss all kinds of things," he explained.

Maruli said that the location of the cheap Gud had been like that since 1987.
"Actually, those who are close to it are housing. We have been here from the past, that's it. That's the same, all military complexes end up getting closer to the community, but with that condition, yes, we will evaluate it again later," he said.
Although the current cheap Gud location is close to residential areas, Maruli emphasized that security is quite good.
"It's quite good. We'll see again, maybe in terms of disturbances or other risks, we will evaluate it," he said.
