Indra Sjafri Calls 4 New Names To The U-20 National Team Training Center

JAKARTA The coach of the Indonesian national team U-20 Indra Sjafri called four new names to the training camp and sent six names back to the club.

The Indonesian national team is currently undergoing a training camp. There have been two trials, but Indra Sjafri has not yet determined the main squad.

"We are giving a number of new players the opportunity to join the U-20 team. We also give players the opportunity to return to the club competing in League 1," said Indra on the PSSI website.

The four names summoned to the training camp were Zidan (Persikabo 1973), Muhamad Johan (PS Mataram), Rama (Persita Tangerang), and finally Adriano (Bandung).

Meanwhile, the six names returned to the club were Arkhan Kaka (Persis Solo), Dony Tri Pamungkas (Persija), Tony Firmansyah (Persebaya), Eros Dermawan (UD Logrones), Marselinus Ama Ola (UD Logrones), and Muhammad Ragil (Bhayangkara FC).

"After the test match, we the coaching team continued to polish the U-20 team to fix the existing shortcomings. The player's condition is getting better and his abilities improved," said Indra.

Garuda's youth squad is currently still focused on intensive training after the two trials they underwent. Their training camp is scheduled to end on April 5.

Two trials conducted by Garuda Muda were held on March 22 and 25. They fought China twice and drew 1-1 in both matches which took place at the Madya Stadium.

The Garuda U-20 squad is prepared to face the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup and the 2025 AFC U-20 Cup qualifiers. This squad is also expected to qualify for the U-20 World Cup next year.
