OIKN Head: BUMN-Swasta Collaboration Is A Strategic Step For Knowledge Hub Development At IKN
JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono appreciated the collaboration between BUMN and the strategic private sector in the development of a Knowledge Hub at IKN.
"I appreciate the cooperation between SOEs and the private sector to jointly support the development of the Knowledge Hub at IKN. This collaboration is in line with the spirit of IKN to become a 'a living lab' or a living laboratory for the latest science for sustainable development," said Bambang in his written statement, Thursday, March 28.
Bambang was present and witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk which was carried out by the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati and the CEO of Bakrie and Brothers Anindya Bakrie.
The MoU is related to the development of the Shared Hub infrastructure as well as the signing of the Heads of Agreement (HoA) between Pertamina New & Renewable Energy and PT VKTR Mobility Technology Tbk for joint development of Mobility as a Service facilities.
The signing of the MoU is one of the follow-up results of the signing of a memorandum of understanding between OIKN and Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, Standford University, California, United States, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 US time.
This collaboration focuses on three important aspects, namely the development of shared hub infrastructure, which will be built in strategic locations within the Edutown IKN area as a key component of the Nusantara Knowledge Hub.
The goal is to create a climate-related knowledge exchange center and ecosystem.
The second aspect is critical mineral research with the application of artificial intelligence which involves studies of essential critical minerals for the economy and national security.
The research will adopt advanced artificial intelligence-based exploration technologies to support more sustainable resource management practices.
The third or last aspect is research on integrated roadmaps, which aims to ensure harmony with the comprehensive principles of IKN development as a "forest city" that prioritizes sustainable development and harmonious life with nature.

Bambang also emphasized that this collaboration is a form of Knowledge Hub that was built to become a place of learning for the community.
The capital city of Nusantara is supported by domestic and international institutions and has established cooperation with three well-known universities from the Netherlands.
"We hope that cooperation from various parties will support in realizing a capital that deserves to be inhabited and loved, along with the motto of the capital city of the archipelago, 'Nusantara is us and we are the archipelago'," he added.
