The Attorney General's Office Investigated The Corruption Case, How Does It Affect PT Timah?

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Timah, Ahmad Dani Virsal opened his voice about the corruption case of PT directors being investigated by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) which cost the state up to Rp271 trillion.

Ahmad said this case did not interfere with the operations of PT Timah as a whole, but psychologically disturbed the company.

"Yes, psychologically, maybe disturbed, but practically we feel safer," Ahmad told the media crew quoted on Wednesday, March 27.

Regarding the safer statement, Ahmad explained that currently his company has a new legal regulation corridor that applies so that it can prevent similar behavior from happening again.

"There are already corridor rules, so don't repeat the same mistakes," added Ahmad.

Based on VOI records, previously the Bangka Belitung Islands Province High Prosecutor's Office and PT Timah Tbk (TINS) cooperated in dealing with legal problems through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Handling Legal Issues for Civil and State Administrative Affairs (Perdatun).

Later, the Babel Prosecutor's Office is ready to assist PT Timah in dealing with legal problems.

"With this cooperation, the prosecutor's office is ready to assist PT Timah if it faces problems, both mitigation and non-migation," said Head of the Babel Islands Provincial Attorney General's Office Asep Maryono.
