After The Electric Model, Chery Chooses Tiggo 7 Pro Sapa Pasar Malaysia

JAKARTA - After introducing electric vehicles since the beginning of the year, Chery Malaysia has now introduced its newest model for the local market, namely the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Tuesday, March 26, the Tiggo 7 Pro will be assembled locally or CKD and will be available in one variant with an estimated price of below 130,000 ringgit or around IDR 429 million.

The car that has arrived in Indonesia is starting to be available and can be seen on all Malaysian Chery showroom networks starting April 2024, with deliveries expected from the end of May of the same year.

The Tiggo 7 Pro will compete with Proton X70, with an eye-catching design, including the upward line windows and a dark D pillar, as well as a more aggressive front look.

With a length of 4,513 mm, a width of 1,862 mm, and a height of 1,696 mm, the Tiggo 7 Pro is slightly shorter by six millimeters, 31 mm wider, and two millimeters higher than the X70, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. Bags have a competitive capacity of 475 liters, which can be expanded to 1,672 liters by folding the rear seat.

In the cabin, the Tiggo 7 Pro has a similar look to the Tiggo 8 Pro (and Omoda E5), with a clean and minimalist dashboard. The main feature includes a wide screen display panel with two 12.3-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment systems. The car is also connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is equipped with an eight- speaker Sony sound system.

For performance, the Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 197 PS and 290 Nm torque. The force is channeled to the front wheel through a multiple coupling transmission of seven accelerations, allowing this car to reach speeds from 0 to 100 km/hour in 9.5 seconds with the highest speed reaching 205 km/hour. Fuel consumption is estimated at around 7.0 liters per 100 km.

In terms of safety features, the Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with standard seven airbags, stability control, and driver assistance including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive speed control with stop and go features, path midfield assistance, rear collision warning, blind spot monitoring with collision prevention, rear crossover collision warning with automatic brakes, and automatic far-lighting.
