The Constitutional Court Holds Preparations Ahead Of The Initial Session Of The Presidential Election Lawsuit Tomorrow
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Constitutional Court (MK) Fajar Laksono said the preparations that had been made by the institution were ahead of the trial for the preliminary examination of the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case which will be held on Wednesday (27/3).
"Preparations have been made. We have prepared a plan in the courtroom tomorrow (27/3)," Fajar said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 26.
Based on the schedule shared on the official website of the Constitutional Court, a preliminary examination hearing of the PHPU for the 2024 presidential election will be held which is divided into two sessions.
Case one, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar with register number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, will be held at 08.00 WIB-completed.
Meanwhile, case two, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number 3Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD with register number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, will be held at 13.00 WIB-completed.
Each of the applicants, said Fajar, will be given a quota of 12 seats and added two seats if the principal of the applicant is present, namely the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
"So, the 12 consists of attorneys and two spokespersons in it. Likewise, related parties, the quota obtained is 12 seats," he said.

He said that all parties involved in tomorrow's trial had been invited by the Constitutional Court to attend the trial. However, there is still no confirmation from the presidential and vice presidential candidates for each candidate to attend the Constitutional Court.
In addition, he continued, the Constitutional Court has prepared security personnel in the courtroom and around the Constitutional Court Building.
"When it comes to security at the Constitutional Court Building, I think so. Security points have been prepared, including in the courtroom," he said.
On a different occasion, Central Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Condro Purnomo said the police would deploy 400 personnel for security around the Constitutional Court Building.
The 400 personnel are only for the Constitutional Court, namely in buildings, courtyards. The rest is security related to the delivery of aspirations. Of course, the troops will be different later," said Susatyo when met at the Constitutional Court Building.
The Central Jakarta Police together with Polda Metro Jaya, he continued, ensured that the 2024 General Election process at KPU, Bawaslu, DKPP, DPR, and MK could run safely and smoothly.
