President Jokowi Inaugurates 16 Roads In Central Sulawesi
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the implementation of the Regional Road Presidential Instruction (Inpres) spread across nine regencies/cities in Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng).
"Today, by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I inaugurate the implementation of the Regional Road Instruction in Central Sulawesi Province," said President Jokowi in Salakan, Banggai Regency, Islands, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.
The Presidential Instruction includes the construction of 15 roads with a total length of 147 kilometers and a cost of IDR 330 billion spread across nine districts/cities.
The President conveyed the government's commitment to continue to equalize infrastructure development in all regions in the country.
"I don't think it's just here, in other provinces we will also check all implementations related to regional roads," the President said when speaking to reporters at the Salakan Market.
The inauguration of the Regional Road Inpres in the local area was warmly welcomed by one of the residents of Salakan, Christian.
"So indeed during that period, in a government there will definitely be processes and development, and thankfully at this time with the programs implemented from the central government through Mr. Jokowi's authority, we can already feel the impact of infrastructure development," he said.
Another response was conveyed by one of the students, Reynold, who felt that his trip to school was safer and more comfortable thanks to the support of good road infrastructure.

"With this road, it might be something really extraordinary for us people of Banggai Islands Regency because we can use this road well without being afraid to fall," he said.
Joshua, another student, stated that road repairs increase security and comfort, especially for motorcyclists.
"It helps with this road because in the past there used to be a slightly potholed road, but with this road we all might have its safety, maybe it can be further improved," he said.
President Jokowi's visit to this area also received a warm welcome from the community. Christian also expressed his gratitude to the President.
"I would like to express my gratitude, sir, because with so many activities, I can still take the time to visit our area, especially the Banggai Islands Regency area," he said.
